Rhodos is connected to almost all other Dodecanese islands, to Crete, Thessaloniki, Pireaus and other islands via sea. The port of Rhodos is in the city of Rhodes while the port of Mandraki from where smaller vessels deserve the islands around Rhodes is. Also Kamiros Skala port from where boats leave to go to Chalki, is on the western coast of the island.
The international airport of Rhodos, Diagoras Airport, is situated at the entrance of Paradissi village (you can find accommodation) on the W side of the island. Rhodes is directly connected to Karpathos, Kassos, Kos, Leros, Kastellorizo, Astypalaia, Salonica, Crete, Athens, Alexandroupoli, Kavala, Mytilini and Mykonos. There are
5-6 daily flights from Athens to Rhodes in the summer and 3 in the winter. The duration of the flight is 1 hour appx. The flights depart from Eleftherios Venizelos airport in Athens.
